Curiosity very nearly killed this blog

In a bid to be more adventurous with the layout design of this blog, I tinkered with the templates and the HTML and God-knows-what-else. And then when I thought I was done and I wanted a preview, the page wouldn't display. It said something about an invalid xml form.

Good thing, I recovered my old template. I don't know how I did it, but I did. My little adventure cost me the bookshelf picture below my header.

I have learned my lesson. I will never ever ever ever experiment again.

remember to have a copy of your previous layouts before experimenting, dear. oh, well. :p

Accidents are bound to happen when you're experimenting. It was a good thing my switching of templates paid off, but too bad for you. At least now, you know that you should always save your original templates. hehe

you can always start from scratch, dear. hehehe. jowk.

i can just imagine the stress!

good thing you were able to retrieve the content! i dont really care much about the lay-out, what matters is that the content is preserved/ intact.

@nika: yeah, i know what to do next time. oh, i did already make up my mind to never experiment again. :D

@ShatterShards: good for you. bad for me.

@gentle: i agree. good thing i didn't lose any of my posts. that would have elicited a tantrum from me.

i have learned that lesson ages ago when i was still maintaining another blog. But back then, i used to copy the template onto Word and then if I don't like how the blog looks like after the revisions, I just repaste the previous HTML code.

Now, i stick to the boring yet reliable blogger templates.

experimenting is good! you just need contingency plans. LOL

@narnian: yeah, i think i'll stay with boring. for now, at least. minimalism rocks. LOL.

@gentle: nobody would want to see me throw a tantrum.

@anonymous: tumigil ka. ayaw mo nga sabihin URL ng blog mo e.

@cb: if i were as good in layout design as you are, i wouldn't have any problems experimenting at all. :D
